    Great choice
I was looking for a camera to install at my mother’s house, she is 90 years old so I wanted a camera to help me keep my eye on her. This camera was awesome, the quality of the picture is great. I love the wide angle I can capture from one camera. I am able to use the microphone and talk to mom. The one thing I wish was that the volume to mic was louder. I have to basically scream for her to hear me, well than again she is 90. I recommend this camera

    Great little camera
I bought this to compliment my Lorex wired cameras. After setup in the app to get it connected to my wifi, and my N841 NVR was able to find and connect to it just fine. However you can also use it as a stand alone camera with no DVR and it’ll record to the included SD card. The app gives you a few settings like image rotation, and the ability to turn the status LED and IR LED off. I’ve had a few other security camera brands in the past and Lorex is the best. I like the magnet in the base of the stand so you can stick it easily on metal things. My only small complaint is I wish the camera and stand were either all black or all white. It wouldn’t stand out as much if it all was one color. Overall I’m very happy with this little guy.

    Nice Little Indoor Camera
I bought this camera to monitor my hallway to see if I am sleepwalking at night. Picture quality in the daytime is good. Night vision is just ok. The Lorex Home app is not designed well for android phones. It gives you lots of features to work with, such as push alerts, motion zones, and different types of movement detection. Some features, though, could not be accessed on the phone. Once I loaded the app to my 10″ android tablet, all the features were accessible. For a midrange indoor camera, it works well. I had no problems with the wi-fi setup. Different mounting options are available and the price isn’t bad for what you get. Overall, the Lorex 1080p Full HD Smart Indoor Wi-Fi Security Camera is a good choice for an indoor security camera.

    Pesky at first
This has been invaluable to my peace of mind being away from home. It took quite a few tries to connect but eventually it did and it has stayed consistent til now. The app is awesome too. Didn’t have a need for play back yet but there is an option for that. It has sound detection above a certain decibel so that works for places inside my home that are out of view. It also has a privacy mode which is awesome. It was super easy to install even for this gal with 2 left hands haha. I tried the paste and stick stuff and it didn’t hold long so I used the metal plate and screed in my two holes and it was on the wall… just use a plug for safe measure if you’re installing on drywall with no weight support like a stud behind. The best of that though is the camera itself is magnetic so it just attaches very securely to that plate… omg the best thing since sliced bread lol. Highly recommended it. I’m a Lorex gal. I hate all the individual apps but they are reliant and good quality. I have the outdoor cams form Lorex and they are fantastic!!!!

    nice camera, good price
very versatile, compact with good video quality for the price

    Really bad
Update: Cameras have developed a lot of problems and are basically junk now. I constantly get alerts even though nothing changed in the video. On one camera there are lots of motion recordings but when I click on most of them it says there’s no recording. I have an expensive pro Lorex system too and it also has lots of issues. Would definitely buy from a different manufacturer next time.Pros:- Relatively inexpensive (especially when it’s on sale for $40) compared to some other cams.- Picture quality and resolution is pretty good overall.- Magnetic base and swivel makes it pretty easy to mount and position.- Can be mounted upside down and set to show video correctly.- App is decent, although it should have a dark mode.Cons:- No option to save offsite/cloud, so if someone breaks in they just have to take the camera or even just the SD card and there’s no evidence.- No multiple zones, so can’t save recordings in both zones and only be notified when detects movement in important area.- “Squares” for motion zone are too big, so it’s hard to select just the areas you want to trigger without getting other adjacent areas that may have consistent unwanted triggers.- Picture quality – contrast is a little too high so some areas are too dark to make out details while other areas are blown out.- No “home mode,” so the only way to stop being notified constantly is to cover the cam or unplug it.- Motion triggers on things like car headlights shining on something, trees’ shadows, or leaves moving in the wind, even on low sensitivity.- Can be set to only trigger on humans, but seems to miss people sometimes then.- Can’t connect to cam if you’re using a VPN.

    Can’t live without these now!
My husband & I bought a trio of these to keep an eye on our toddler when we had to leave him at home with a family member to go to the hospital & have our second baby. We put all of our trust in these working to keep our minds at ease and they did not disappoint! We could easily check in on him all day (& night!) long with crystal clear picture + audio. Once home again, we really love the feature that recognizes when we leave the house & begins to do surveillance with notifications if anything is amiss. We love these so much that we literally got rid of our toddler’s baby monitor camera & replaced it with one of these! I’m addition, they are a complete breeze to set up. I am not tech savvy whatsoever & each one took 5 minutes or less & we’ve never had a glitch or problem since. 10/10 recommend! *If this review helped you, I would really appreciate you giving it a thumbs up!*

Perfect to stalk my dog lol
I purchased this camera to watch my dog when I’m not home. She’s sick and I wanted to keep an eye on her. It was pretty hard to set up but I called customer service and they walked me through it. To be fair, I’m pretty dense when it comes to electronics so I may be easier for others to set up. Once it was set up, it was worked excellently and I’ve not had a problem since. It has served my intended purpose perfectly

I actually use this camera inside, attached above the window on the non-opening patio door, for deck and backyard monitoring. Because the door is metal, I just placed the magnetic base of the camera at the top of the door, point the camera to look down through the window and click “image rotation” in the app settings to rotate the feed 180 degrees for a right side up picture. No drilling necessary. Quite easy to set up even for someone not very tech savvy.I turned off the infra red night vision as the window would interfere. You’ll need good outside lighting to pick up anything at night. If you’re using it to view inside a room, simply turn that feature back on.For my needs, it is a terrific little camera. The picture quality is very good. The micro sd card that comes with it means I don’t have to pay for cloud storage. The notification time is not bad and you can adjust sensitivity and monitoring area to your liking. The one downside of the camera is the audio (broken up and tinny) so if that’s an important factor for you, look elsewhere. It wasn’t a factor for me so I love this inexpensive little security camera.

  10. Afeif

For its price and performance, we consider it very good. I have been using one for 3 years, so far it is good.

  11. Erika

Set-up is easy and camera seems to work well. The pictures for this product do not show the power cable which may deceive you to think that the camera has some kind of battery. It has to be always plugged in.But the usb cable to the adapter is too short to reach to the available plug. Now, I have to buy an extension cable and it will look cluttered on the wall.

  12. DWindsor

Love the whole Lorex security system. I have a number of these cameras. Easy to set up. Very practical. Easy to view from any location.

Out of the few cameras I have protecting my home this one is low in cost with no membership online fees to pay monthly or yearly for. However the video captures a invader to your home for a split 5 minutes then stops filming I find, and then alerts you by your mobile phone that there is movement. Then saves it On your SD chip to view again. Other cameras I have that have membership fees keep filming while the invader is on camera. This let’s me see better what their doing and a chance for the police to identify them better.
